Peter Lucas, curator of the annual Jazz On Film series at the Museum of Fine Arts Houston, presents this screening of favorite 1960s jazz performance footage. Featuring some of the greatest instrumentalists of that era, the program brings an all-star concert experience to the intimate setting of the Jazz Church, with performances by Dizzy Gillespie, John Coltrane, Thelonious Monk, Charles Mingus, Art Blakey and others.

Peter Lucas is curator of the Jazz On Film program at The Museum of Fine Arts Houston, and has organized exhibitions and film series in association with the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston, The Menil Collection, Aurora Picture Show, Northwest Film Forum, Seattle International Film Festival, and Experience Music Project. Lucas is also an artist, writer, educator, and DJ.
